2025 SUMMER FUTSAL PROGRAM - Saturdays @ Ogden YMCA Activity Center

Join us indoor this Summer for some Futsal. Rules are similar to soccer and is played indoors on a basketball court with a heaver ball. It is a fun, fast paced game. Futsal is well know for improving a players foot skills.  We play pick-up style as it is the summer so it does affect attendance, but players can choose which friends to play with each week.

Futsal is an 8 week program. First day is Saturday, 06/28/25. Last Day is Saturday, 08/16/25

$120 Registration Fee includes 8 sessions. (Y Members save $20 and program is Pathways eligible.)

Program Rules for Indoor:

-Age for Summer 2025 is age on 12/31/2024.

-Our #1 concern is that they are having fun.
-
Staff/Referee call is final, move on.....clock doesn't stop in futsal.
-
Time is kept by staff/referee.  Game times may be shortened to stay on schedule.
-
If subs are available they must rotate every 5 minutes  Staff/Referee will stop the game every 5 minutes.  THIS IS THE ONLY TIME FOR A SUB, unless for an injury, those are unlimited but player must sit two rotations before going back in.  (Staff makes final call, even if it is wrong.)
-
All stoppages are indirect kicks, penalty or not.
-
IF a Team goes ahead by 3 goals … THE opposing team adds an additional field player until that team is down by 1 goal. The additional player is then removed. (2 Players are added if down 6 goals.)

I do not expect any cards will be needed in our program, however I am required to list:
*
YELLOW CARDS: Carded player is to go off the field and the team will play a man down for 2 min
*
RED CARDS: PLAYER is off for the entire game and the team plays a man down for 5 minutes or the remainder of the half. Then an alternate player can return for that team. A player red carded will automatically be suspended from the next game in the rotation.
IF YOU ARE RED CARDED FOR: VIOLENT CONDUCT, Hitting, Kicking, Punching, Spitting, assaulting an official, you will be removed / banned from all soccer programs.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Water Bottle: Water refill station is provided.
Shin Guards:  These are required for all players.
Non-marking Shoes:  Most basketball and soccer/futsal cleats will say non-marking on the sole of the shoe.  (Futsal shoes are not required but recommended for those 10 years and older.)
Balls are provided as Futsal's are more expensive and can only be used indoors, please save your money.
Games will be played in pennies (practice vest) provided for the program so feel free to show off any Jersey you like.
