COACHES (Information and Training)
Posted by Lee Spooner on 2/17/2023
To our new coaches, we would love to meet you, show you a few tricks to our system and give you some pointers for your practices. As I know many of us have busy schedules I wanted to offer several different options. Any coach is welcome to stop in and get a coach's shirt if you need one, they are not required but do help first few weeks as players get to know you.
For those returning from a 2020 season, things will run similar to what you have seen in the past. Each site will have a site lead and we will provide goals, balls and cones for your practice sessions. We will be on-site to assist in any issues that arrive. We are going to ask that returning coach's not attend our coaches meetings to prevent any unnecessary exposure before we start as we already have a coach with a positive test.

US YOUTH SOCCER PRACTICE GUIDES
The US Youth Soccer Coaching Department has provided the following coaching resources with three age-specific practice activity guides. The guides give coaches an idea of what should be covered throughout a season while highlighting activities that focus on development in a low-stress, fun-filled environment. Each resource covers multiple types of practice activities, from warm-ups and individual training to small-sided and group games. The exercises are tailored to meet the cognitive and physical characteristics of each age group.
